The annual challenge, which sees teams of youngsters navigating across Dartmoor, cooking for themselves, camping and being totally self-sufficient, saw two teams of year 10 students take on the 35-mile route, and one team of year 11 students taking on the 45-mile route.

Taking on the trek following six months of training, and having set off at 7.30am on Saturday, May 6, the college’s ‘Nuns Cross’ 35-mile team finished at 9.30am on Sunday, followed by the ‘Princetown’ team at 11.30am, and the 45-mile team, which had one member drop out, at 1.30pm.

A college spokesperson said: “This was a splendid result for all those who trained so hard and the college is most proud of them all.”
