Nine Exmouth schoolgirls have been labelled a ‘credit to Marpool School’ after representing East Devon in a county-wide cricket tournament and reaching the final.
Marpool Primary School took part in the Devon County Kwik Cricket Finals last Friday at Exeter College and narrowly lost out in winning the tournament by just a few runs.
James Bennington, the PE coordinator at Marpool Primary School, said: “The girls were brilliant and played fairly yet competitively.
“It was a shame in the final where they all had to bowl over arm as this is not something all the girls are confident in. “Nevertheless, they were a credit to Marpool School.”
