PUPILS at St. Joseph’s School donned helmets, swords and other Norman and Saxon garb to mark the 944th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.

Children of class 2 marked the Norman Conquest on Thursday October 14 with a Normans Day.

In class they learnt about King William I, King Harold and the Domesday Book and took part in a variety of Norman activities and finished the day with a Norman feast.
