PROMOTING healthy eating and teaching children simple recipes they can cook at home are the key aims of Exeter Road Primary School’s after-school Cookery Club in Exmouth.
The Lottery-funded project has been running for three years and has proved so valuable that the school is now funding it.
“The children enjoy it,” said teaching assistant Cathy Jones. “They can try things they wouldn’t normally have.”
Typical recipes include croque-monsieur. “The children thoroughly enjoyed it,” said Cathy.
