An emerging East Budleigh artist has been awarded one of five ‘Emerging Artist Bursaries’, by the Devon Artist Network.
LISTED BUILDING BID: The owner of 2 Cliff Terrace Budleigh Salterton has applied to build an independent covered way to the rear yard and over the rear parking area.
The final decision will be made by district planners.

FIRE: Fourteen fire crews tackled a blaze on Bicton Common last Thursday. Firefighters were called out at around 10.30am after two hectares of gorse were reported to be on fire. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire was under control by lunchtime. Several appliances remain at the scene to dampen down hotspots.

The proposals include extensions and alterations to form a new dayroom and orangery on north side of the house, new back door and verandah on south west side of the house and new doors on the north elevation of the study in bedroom at first floor level. BURSARY: An emerging East Budleigh artist has been awarded one of five ‘Emerging Artist Bursaries’, by the Devon Artist Network. Hilary O’Dwyer, a conceptual artist in mixed media has won the award. The bursary aims to identify emerging artists and assist them at a critical juncture in their professional development.
