Young cricketers at Exmouth Community College are getting some new facilities in which to hone their skills after a donation from a local charity.
The Gibbons Family Trust, which makes grants to support children and young people in East Devon, handed over a cheque for £30,000 for the purchase of some new cricket nets.
The donation was accepted by college principal Tony Alexander, chair of governors Liz Lee, and head of PE Richard Thompson, who were delighted with the grant.
Mr Thompson added that the grant will enable a vast enhancement of the cricket facilities at the college, which will benefit not only its own students but also members of the community and local primary schools.
