Children hit park’s fairy trail
PUBLISHED: 06:30 24 July 2016
Fairy magic caught the imagination of youngsters as they searched around a trail for miniature doors hidden around Phear Park.
The magical fairy trail was organised by Withycombe Raleigh Playgroup, to encourage children to get active outdoors and use their imaginations.
Those taking part had a quiz to solve while hunting for 20 mini fairy doors dotted around the park, with prizes awarded at the end.
A host of organisations teamed up with the playgroup to design fairy doors for the event, including Exmouth Library, Exmouth Children’s Centre, Move With Me, Exmouth Crafty Crafters, Party Wiz, Little Squirrels Toddler Group, Anna Fitzgerald of Sea Dog Art Gallery, and the South West Ballet School.
Jodie Lawrie, Withycombe Raleigh Playgroup committee member, said the playgroup was ‘committed’ to helping children to find their love of learning, exploring the outdoors.
“We are thrilled by the support we have received and the number of organisations who got involved.
“Every door was amazing and unique.
“Clearly, a lot of work went into each one.”
