More than �1,000 was raised to go towards new equipment and services at Budleigh Salterton Hospital.
The successful League of Friends of Budleigh Salterton Hospital coffee morning in the Public Hall last week raised �1,121.34.
Chairman Dr David Evans thanked the doctors who, along with the committee and local shopkeepers, sponsored the raffle.
He added: “Thank you to all those who helped on the day; the day unit volunteers, the helpful ladies who made the tea and coffee and friends who answered the call and made delicious cakes and donated such high-quality bric-a-brac.
“And, finally, thank you to those very special people in the community who came and supported their hospital so generously.”
