A group of young gardeners from an Exmouth school are celebrating after a summer of green -fingered success.
Brixington School pupils have been taking part in a school farm project with teaching assistant Sue Stoneman - and have won a string of awards for their produce.
Among their successes were nine awards – including three first prizes and a commendation for their scarecrows – at the Lympstone Village Show, a Regional South West In Bloom ‘Its Your Neighbourhood’ Award, and the ‘Best Veg Plot’ award in the Exmouth in Bloom competition.
The children are now getting to grips with their latest addition to the farm - a group of chickens, from which they have already begun collecting eggs.
