A group of high-achieving youngsters have had their success recognised by Bicton College.

The college has presented awards to school-age students who took part in its Practical Learning Programme.

Seventy-seven pupils aged 14 to 16 from across the South West, including Exmouth and Sidmouth, attended a ceremony to receive certificates from the programme, which offered tuition on a range of subjects including agriculture, horse care, construction, animal care, motor vehicle maintenance, sports and recreation, and skills for working life.

Ceremony organiser Susan Senior praised the learners and said: “The students have come a long way during their time at Bicton College, developing skills they can progress with and enhance as their career paths take shape.

“Seeing them flourish in Bicton’s unique learning environment has been extremely rewarding, and they should be very proud of their achievements.”
