Cadets at Exmouth Community College have got some new equipment thanks to a town technology firm.
The community cadet scheme lets year 10 and year 11 pupils work with the fire service and police, and has now received nearly £300 in sponsorship from EuroTech, based in Salterton Road, enabling the purchase of new safety boots.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service communities officer Matthew Reece said: “It is gestures such as these which help us to ensure that our cadets have the correct equipment to carry out their duties in a safe manner whilst also ensuring that they are able to represent our organisations smartly and professionally when undertaking activities within our local community.
“It is a pleasure to see such a well-known and established business recognising the efforts and value that is gained by schemes like the community cadets, and supporting its continuation in such a proactive way.”
