Pupils at St Peter’s Primary School have been given a fantastic insight into the world of medicine from an internationally renowned expert.
Sir Denis Pereira Gray OBE is a former Exeter GP and Professor at the University of Exeter. He visited year six pupils, who are studying how disease is managed, after they asked for a visit from a doctor. He spoke about the 1918 flu pandemic and the current ebola crisis, and about working in medicine.
Teacher Phillip Sidaway-Lee said: “The children were very excited and had some very high quality questions because the level of interest was extremely high.”
