May I say how much I agree with Rob Roberts (Journal, September 10) with regard to East Devon District Council?
As a leaseholder to the council for some 10 years, it is, and has, been a constant struggle to obtain a reasonable level of service for the money I pay. This also applies to others in the same situation.
Certainly, if I could change the leasehold to freehold and be rid of the council, I would award myself a week of unfettered Bacchanalian excess.
