East Devon residents are being encouraged to enjoy the coastline as part of World Oceans Day.
The global event raises the profile of the environmental importance of Devon’s coasts.
The event is on Wednesday, June 8, and East Devon District Council’s countryside team wants people to go out and explore.
Councillor Ian Chubb, East Devon District Council countryside portfolio holder, said:
“We are extremely lucky to live alongside the stunning Jurassic Coast in East Devon. The countryside team do a fantastic job managing sections of the South West Coast path for the enjoyment of thousands of tourists and local people who walk along it.
“Countryside events are a great way for people to get out and explore the wonders of the coast, there are a variety of events on offer from rock pooling.”
