Each week we put together a gallery of readers’ pictures sent to us through our photo-sharing website iwitness24.
If you would like to get involved and start seeing your photos in print/online then why not join our community of local photographers at www.iwitness24.co.uk.
PHOTO CHALLENGE: Each week we set our readers a photo challenge to have a go at and this week’s theme is ‘Nature’. We are looking for your favourite shots of flora and fauna from anywhere around East Devon. To enter go to www.iwitness24.co.uk and upload your images to the East Devon ‘Photo Challenge’ group and we’ll include them in an online gallery and possibly in print too.
Found in a little woodland on the edge of woodbury common. My submission for spring flower photo competition. Picture: Anna Childs This was the sunset over Exmouth on Sunday 22nd April 2018. This was taken not far from the Exmouth Wheel. The sun was shining on the sea, and through the lens. Picture: Luke Eveleigh Sparrow Hawk feeding in our garden this morning. Picture: David Jones Sparrow Hawk feeding in our garden this morning. Picture: David Jones I was volunteering with the "East Devon Countryside Team" at the Honiton Bottom Road Nature Reserve, on a hot sunny day Thursday 19th April 2018, and I was with the team, doing some work with filling in the hedge with dead branches and wood. Picture: Luke Eveleigh Sparrow Hawk feeding in our garden this morning. Picture: David Jones A beautiful evening enticed us down to the Estuary. Picture: Sue Babb Had just dropped the wife off at the station and took this picture as the Train pulled off. Picture: David Jones Yellow Genista in A Friends Courtyard. Picture: Clive Sluter These were taken from Queen's Road, Exmouth after dusk, on Monday 23rd April 2018. Picture: Luke Eveleigh Lovely flowers in our garden. Picture: Rachel Dance Just so beautiful. Picture: Sue Babb I believe these may be red tulips, could be wrong though. Picture: Ian Humphries I was walking along Louisa Terrace, Exmouth during the early evening of Friday 20th April 2018, where the sun was shining on the sea. Picture: Luke Eveleigh This was just before 8pm (BST) Saturday 21st April 2018, whilst travelling on the 19:32 "Great Western Railway" train from Exeter St. Davids to Exmouth. I was on the train near Exton at the time this was taken. Picture: Luke Eveleigh Cherry blossom against a clear blue sky - there is nothing to beat it! Picture: Barbara Mellor Bluebells at their very best at Blackbury Camp. Picture: Barbara Mellor Blooming and at it's best this week in my garden in Budleigh. Picture: Barbara Mellor Montana Clematis which blooms magnificently in my garden every year. Picture: Barbara Mellor I chose this rhododendron for my garden because of its unusual shade. The buds are really deep coloured and then it fades as it opens. Picture: Barbara Mellor Another shot of this magnificent clematis. Picture: Barbara Mellor Gorse on Woodbury Common. Picture: Barbara Mellor A different variety of Clematis blooming in my garden. Picture: Barbara Mellor I have very few tulips in my garden but this was a particularly striking one.
