ABBA fans can head to East Budleigh for the showing of smash hit film Mamma Mia on Saturday January 10 2009 as part of Villages in Action's Get the Picture scheme.

The film will be shown at East Budleigh Village Hall with performances at 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

Villages in Action spokeswoman Jill Greig said: "This totally feel-good film has been seen by millions already and many people are keen to see it again.

"Meryl Streep, Julie Walters and Pierce Brosnan among others strut their seventies stuff, sing their socks off and thoroughly enjoy getting into the luscious lycra.

"Added to all that , the perfect setting of a permanently sunny Greek island, complete with pine trees, sand and clear seas is sheer escapism.

"Even if you are not an Abba fan you probably will be by the end of the film, this is completely infectious fun and you will go home singing after the surprise at the end."

Tickets, priced at £4 and £3 to include a choc ice, are available from Budleigh Community Shop, or by telephoning Jane on (01395) 442973.
