The May Day Bank Holiday tradition in East Budleigh - Drake's Primary School's parade and fair - is set to return again this Monday.
East Budleigh is gearing up for its annual May Day celebrations this Monday (May 7).
Starting at 2pm, there will be a parade from East Budleigh Garage to the village green.
This year, the procession will be joined by fire fighters from Budleigh Salterton.
The event raises funds for Drake’s Primary School; Children from the school will then perform the famous maypole dance. This will be followed by the crowning of the May Day queen.
This will mark the opening of a fete where there will be traditional stalls including raffles, a duck race, a bar, cream teas and cakes.
There will also be a barbecue with members of the Lions Club of Budleigh Salterton lending a hand.
Youngsters will also be able to get glitter tattoos and there will be a bouncy castle.
A spokesman for the school’s PFA has thanked Budleigh fire station, Budleigh Lions and the town’s carnival club for the support they are giving.
