PEOPLE interested in becoming a councillor are invited to an open morning at East Budleigh Village Hall to find out more about the role.
The East Budleigh with Bicton and Yettington parish council open morning takes place on Saturday, March 12, from 10am until noon.
A spokesman for the event said: “The parish has a population of 1,100 residents.
“As there will be several vacancies on the parish council at the elections on May 5, this is a splendid opportunity for those interested in making a positive contribution to the welfare of the community regarding decision making within aspects of village life.
“Present councillors will be available to give details of their role within the parish council. Refreshments will be available.”
