A Devon charity was one of the benificiaries at the recent Exmouth Community College mufti day.
Pupils and staff paid 1 each to go to school in clothes of their choice and the proceeds were donated to the charities Devon Freewheelers and In a Heartbeat.
Members of Devon Freewheelers went into the college on the day to meet pupils and give a presentation on the charity’s work.
The day also saw head of IT and Devon Freewheelers volunteer Adam Drake raffle an Xbox 360 Kinect for the charity, which was won by Dominic Roberts.
Devon Freewheelers uses motorbikes to transport urgently needed blood, drugs, human tissues and other medical supplies between hospitals and blood transfusion banks. They are currently appealing for more venues and volunteers to help them raise funds needed to keep their bikes on the road.
