Diver latest - man rescued from Budleigh tide is safe

A DIVER snorkelling off Budleigh Salterton beach has been airlifted from the water after being caught in a rip-tide.
A DIVER snorkelling off Budleigh Salterton beach has been airlifted from the water after being caught in a rip-tide.
The 36-year-old Taunton man had been snorkelling in water off the mouth of the River Otter when he got into difficulty in the strong current.
The coastguard helicopter was tasked to rescue the man, winching him from the water to safety.
Sidmouth rescue boat was also launched.

The diver was airlifted to the Lime Kiln car park where he was treated by waiting paramedics.
He did not require hospital treatment.
