REGARDING your front page article last week entitled: 'Driven out of business by racist abuse'. This is a most disturbing story of intolerance and apparent intimidation. The world is now a global village and migratory movements are commonplace and will be even more so in the future. Europe is the only continent with a falling birth rate and demographic shifts to fill the skill gap brought about by the retirement of the baby boomer generation will mean that Europe will be more dependent in the future on inward immigration. This trend can already be seen in all leading nations and will further increase over time. For a family to be driven out of business and intimated in the manner described is quite simply shocking.
