A TOWN councillor has questioned a huge banner displayed on the front of the district council-owned Pavilion which he says hasn’t got planning permission.

At the town planning meeting on Monday Councillor Ian Stewart said he could not remember the committee discussing the banner.

The district council passed on powers to rule on advertising banners and signs to the town council nearly two years ago.

He said: “Just to point out for the sake of fairness, equality and consistency.
