A GROUP of disabled swimmers were presented with certificates after completing as many lengths of the pool as possible at Exmouth Swimming and Leisure Centre.

The young people and adults from Bystock Court and the Lawns, in Exmouth, Stallcombe House, in Woodbury, and the deafblind charity Sense regularly attend the centre's Aquacise exercise and swimming sessions to music.

The swimmers were presented with a certificate to mark their achievements in the pool.

Leisure centre manager Peter Binks said: "By setting individuals the challenge of swimming the greatest distance possible it was a fun way for everybody to see how far they've come with their swimming and get a certificate to keep.
