FULL FACILITIES: Full disabled parking facilities at an Exmouth supermarket have been restored, after essential equipment to complete the job was found.

At an Exmouth Town Council planning meeting two weeks ago, Councillor Malcolm Mitchell raised concerns that only two of the four disabled bays at Lidl in Dinan Way had been replaced after building work was carried out.

After the town hall made enquiries, planning chairman Lynne Elson received a phone call from Lidl management, who told her the disabled bays had not yet been replaced as they had run out of yellow paint.

All four disabled bays have now been restored.

CONVERSION: Plans to convert a shop near Exmouth town centre into a dwelling have been conditionally supported by the town council.

Councillors said they had no problem with the plan, for 2 Leslie Road, as long as adequate information was supplied about flood risk and demands on the sewage system.

East Devon District Council will now rule on the plan.
