As outdoor temperatures fall around the county, Devon's Libraries are encouraging people to stay indoors and enjoy a night in at the movies on them, with a special 3 DVDs for the price of 2 offer available at all its libraries.

From Monday 11 January to Saturday 27 February, Devon County Council library users can choose the latest big screen blockbusters as they're released from as little as 3 for a week's rental. General titles are available at 2 for the week, and children's and special interest titles are available at 1 for the week.

For the dedicated viewer, TV series box sets are available for 4, for a week's rental.

Councillor Stuart Barker, Devon County Council's Cabinet Member with responsibility for libraries, said:

"The Christmas season of TV films and programmes may be over, but there is plenty more on offer from Devon's libraries. With the long winter nights upon us, what better excuse is there to settle down with the latest films, or your favourite TV series.

"The wide selection of titles on offer means there's something to suit everyone, and our 3 for 2 offer gives library users even better value for their money this new year, at a time when households may be watching their budgets."

Library users can search for and reserve DVD titles online at www.devon.gov.uk/libraries. Alternatively, if their local library does not have the title in stock, then they can reserve it for you.

DVDs from Devon's libraries can be returned to any library within Devon.
