REFERRING to a previous letter entitled "Unreliable bus annoys me", the writer ought to be thankful for the very good timetables that Stagecoach provides. I have recently moved from Fleet in Hampshire, a town about the same size as Exmouth but expanding rapidly. The bus service there mainly catered for commuters and school children. Outside the school run and commuter times, services were very infrequentOur nearest main hospital at Frimley Green was served by one bus an hour with the last bus back at 17:30. Miss that and the only alternative was a £20 taxi fare. Nearby towns such as Farnham had at best an hourly service. My office moved from Fleet to Yately, a village four miles away. There was no bus service from Fleet to Yately so I had to beg liftsAs a non-driver, it is so much easier travelling around Exmouth. I have seldom had to wait more than 10 minutes for a No 57 and usually less Tim Helliwell,(via email).
