DECORATE A PAINTER: Homeowners in Sidmouth are being asked to nominate their dependable decorator or perfectionist painter.
The Dulux Trade Most Trusted Decorator competition looks to find local painters that go above and beyond the call of duty, and always go the extra mile to win their customers’ trust. To nominate a decorator, homeowners simply have to fill out a few details explaining why they deserve the award.
Ten regional winners from across the UK will be selected from the entries, with the most impressive going on to take the national Most Trusted Decorator title.
YOUNG CHEF SOUGHT: The search has begun for a budding young chef to become the face of the River Cottage apprentice scheme at Axminster.
The lucky winner will get to work alongside celebrity cooks for 12 months at Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s Park Farm headquarters. Open to youngsters aged between 16 and 19 the River Cottage Rising Star 2013 competition aims to give one individual the best possible start to their career. It requires entrants to upload a video to YouTube which demonstrates their love of food and ambition to become a chef.

The River Cottage Young Chef Apprenticeship Scheme provides each successful applicant with 12 months’ employment.
