SHOPPERS in Exmouth were at risk of being exterminated last weekend as a dalek visited the town.
People took time away from shopping to pay for the opportunity to have a photograph taken with the deadly Doctor Who television character to raise money for the charity Scope.
The dalek visited the One Single Image toy shop on Albion Street last Saturday, August 15.
John Hadlow, owner of the shop, said: "It was a fun day and well attended. People who weren't aware of a dalek being in town and happened to pass by were obviously shocked."
The 42-year-old said he chose to donate money raised to Scope because the charity was close to his heart.
Scope is a disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy.
Actor Frazer Hines, who played the part of a companion to Doctor Who from 1966 to 1969, will visit the shop this Saturday.
