Crews tackle fire at derelict building in Exmouth

Fire crews were mobilised to tackle a fire at a derelict building in Exmouth.

The incident happened at 4.34pm (yesterday) afternoon on Foxholes Hill, as Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service crews raced to the scene.

Crews from Exmouth and Exeter used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet, thermal camera imaging and a safety jet were used to extinguish the fire.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said they believed the fire to be ‘malicious’ and that the police have been informed.
