Police have stepped up high-visibility foot patrols in Exmouth town centre in a bid to crack down on shoplifting.
Exmouth’s neighbourhood police team has made retail-related crime a ‘priority’, saying officers were ‘working hard’ to reduce reports and incidents of shoplifting.
Devon and Cornwall Police said retailers involved in the crackdown were now fully trained to provide CCTV evidence and witness statements for shoplifting offences.
