Police are gearing up to tackle motorists putting people at risk at Brixington.

Earlier this month, Exmouth officers announced plans to link up with a specialist police team to carry out speed checks in Dinan Way.

PCSO Chris Ball said: “We are aware that speeding on this road is of concern to many residents.

“The newly-formed urban police team will be implementing speeding exercises here, with tickets being issued for those violating the speed limit.”

A crackdown on school-run parents parking irresponsibly outside Brixington Academy will also be implemented, police said.

PCSO Ball said: “Parking outside the school is still a cause for concern

“The bus stop directly outside the main entrance is a no-go area for parking, yet some parents feel the need to park there.

“I will be meeting with my colleagues to discuss our options of how to tackle this ongoing problem.”

● PCSO Ball will be giving internet safety talks to schools and youth groups in Exmouth. If you would like your school or group to receive a talk, email christopher.BALL2@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk
