Couples who were wed at an historic Exmouth church have returned there for a celebration of marriage.

The special service at Point in View Church was attended by couples who married there last year, couples due to marry there this year, and two couples who married there more than 20 years ago.

They both brought photos of their weddings, which allowed the church’s regulars to see some faces from its past, as did parishioners Ann and David Foster, who did not actually marry at Point in View, but have been married for 57 years, and offered advice about their success.

The Reverend Rosemary Shirley said: “Everyone really enjoyed it. Everyone who comes here week to week loves the place, so knowing that people come here to marry and feel that too is really important, and to hear the stories of when they were married was lovely.”
