ENA and Frank Glover will celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary among family and friends.The couple will mark their 60th anniversary today (Thursday) after years of a happy and fulfilling marriage.They met at a forces camp in Melton Mowbray, during the Second World War, where Frank was serving as a Provo Sergeant in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME Airborne) and Ena worked as a cook in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS).Frank, born in Littleham, served in Palestine until he was discharged from the forces after a spinal injury. The couple married on April 17, 1948, and lived in Lympstone for 30 years until bad health meant they had to move to Exmouth to be closer to family. Frank is well-known for his wrought-iron business in Exmouth.They have two daughters, Lesley, who lives in Perth, Australia, and Dilys, who lives in Exmouth, and have four grand-children and four great-grand children.
