The long-awaited completion of Dinan Way is finally set to go ahead, after preliminary designs were approved by county chiefs this morning.

Devon County Council’s cabinet agreed to go ahead with a planning application, and also to proceed with buying the necessary land should this be successful, for a new section of road between Hulham Road and the A376.

The linking of Dinan Way to the A376 has been an aspiration of highways bosses for more than 20 years.
