RESIDENTS are being encouraged to make their properties warm and cosy this winter by taking advantage of free insulation grants.
People living in Topsham are invited to take advantage of a range of grants for loft and cavity wall insulation, and for energy-efficient boilers, as part of an Exeter City Council scheme.
Kevin Mitchell, lead councillor for environment and leisure, said the scheme was a fantastic opportunity for homeowners to save money.
He added: "There has never been a better time for householders to get their home insulated.
"We are encouraging people to start the process now so they can have a warmer, more energy efficient home this winter and a cooler home in summer."
People who are aged over 60, and households on incomes less than 18,000, are eligible for the offer which is available for a limited period.
The scheme is available to homeowners, private tenants and private landlords.
