Consumer loses out in the end
Where can I purchase the latest version of Monopoly, the one where Tesco keeps on appearing?
Where can I purchase the latest version of Monopoly, the one where Tesco keeps on appearing?
Surely it is wrong to allow one of the giants of retailing to have such a large share of the local market in such a small town?
Unlike the people who don't want ASDA, I feel that Tesco is taking too big a portion of the local market and consider the decision to allow them to open yet another store in Exmouth is wrong.
Surely, the method that should be applied to bringing more jobs into the town centre should be by producing incentives to smaller companies that bring in new businesses and competition so that 'the deal' gets better, rather than allowing large conglomerates to use their collective power and market surpremacy to push out all competition, which is ultimately to the detriment of the consumer.
In addition, the potential impact is not a better deal for the businesses already in place, but lost jobs as Tesco use their weight to squeeze them out.
