It is absolutely mind-boggling what some people are prepared to do - why build a glass building near the sea which will be plastered with salt spray after a windy spell?
The present Lifeboat Cafe at Budleigh Salterton is just the right sort of cafe to have, as it blends in with the coastline.
The new plans just shriek at one and are completely out of character with Budleigh's promenade.
