Colony car crime prompts police appeal for help

Police would like to hear from anyone with informatiion in relation to criminal damage caused to a number of parked cars in The Colony.
Police are appealing for help tracing the vandal who kicked off wing mirrors of cars parked in The Colony, Exmouth.
Officers said the vehicles were targeted while parked on a grass bank in Halsdon Road, sometime between the evening of Friday April 4 and 8am the following morning.
Anyone who heard or saw someone acting suspiciously in the area, or who has information about the criminal damage, is asked to contact the police.
Colin Balch, police community support officer, said: “The vehicles were all left parked on the flood defence grass banking side of the road and near to the electricity substation, at the far end.
“The damage was caused to door mirrors, which appear to have been kicked off.
“If anybody can provide any information that can help police with their enquiries, please call our non emergency number.”
