THE police have identified Colaton Raleigh as a low crime area, after reporting a 5.3 per cent reduction in offences in the last year.

THE police have identified Colaton Raleigh as a low crime area, after reporting a 5.3 per cent reduction in offences in the last year.In 2007-08 police recorded that 19 crimes were carried out in the area, and four of those offences were positively detected.The latest 2008-09 crime figures for Colaton Raleigh show a 5.3 per cent reduction in offences after 18 crimes were recorded with four positive detections.Colaton Raleigh neighbourhood beat manager PC David Lea said the latest figures show a crime is recorded on average once every 20 days - or once every three weeks.PC Lea said: "This is a low crime area and I would like to thank the residents and those who work in the parish for all their help in keeping these figures low.
