Exmouth Coastwatch has held an open day - giving visitors an insight into how volunteer lifesavers operate.
As part of the day, visitors were taken up the Coastwatch tower, above the Harbour View caf, to see the volunteers in action.
There was also a photographic display in the nearby St John Ambulance hut, with members on hand to answer questions, and a quiz sheet was provided for children.
At the day’s peak, queues were forming to visit the tower, and several new volunteers signed up to become Coastwatch spotters.
Exmouth Coastwatch’s Arnold Kanarek said: “All in all, this was an extremely successful open day, and we would like to thank St John Ambulance for the use of their hut.”
