EXMOUTH Coastguard searched the Exe Estuary after the belongings of two beach users were found - and the owners were no where to be seen.
The items were left with a beach user on Sunday, but when the two female owners of the items had not returned after an hour, the coastguard was called.
They carried out a 'precautionary search' and the property was taken to the volunteer life guard station.
A Coastguard spokesman said: "Nothing untoward was found and the effects were eventually reclaimed.
