THE POST Office in Clyst St George has been earmarked for permanent closure.It was revealed this week that it was on a list of possible closures - which, although it has angered residents, this latest news has not surprised them.Liz Flitney, postmistress for seven years at Clyst St George, said: "I think there should be a post office in every village. "There are people who live in the outskirts where there is a post office but no parking who come to us because we have parking. "Most of the customers have accepted the closure because it has been going on for so long but one or two are putting up a fight.
