Car rolled onto roof at Clyst St George

Fire fighters were called to Clyst Road in Clyst St George to reports a car had rolled onto its roof and a woman was still inside.

A woman was taken to hospital after a car rolled onto its roof in Clyst Road yesterday (Sunday).

Two fire crews from Middlemoor and Topsham were called to the single vehicle collision at Clyst St George after reports of the single-vehicle collision at 5.30pm.

They found a woman still inside the car, which was on its roof.

A spokesman for Devon and Somersert Fire and Rescue Service said she was not physically trapped.

By 6.05pm she had been released from the car and given oxygen therapy by fire fighters.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
