Clinton Devon Estates recognised by Green Energy Awards

CLINTON Devon Estates has been named runner-up for its renewable energy scheme in the Green Energy Awards 2008.

CLINTON Devon Estates has been named runner-up for its renewable energy scheme in the Green Energy Awards 2008.

The estate, which prides itself on its 'green' ethos, was pipped to the winning post by Okehampton Businesss Centre.

Clinton Devon Estates shared the runners-up podium with Woolsery Community Hall.

CDE director John Varley said the estate was always mindful to search for ways to embrace renewable energy.

"The estate is delighted to achieve recognition by Regen South West on the Rolle Estate office building," said Mr Varley.

Regen South West is the sustainable energy agency for South West England which aims to develop technologies using natural resources such as energy from the wind, waves or tidal power.

Every year, it holds a Green Awards Ceremony to celebrate the achievements of individuals, local authorities, community groups and renewable energy companies.
