CID praised for sensitivity

Praise has been heaped on Exmouth CID by the brave victims of paedophile Tommy Dance.

The women have spoken about their anguish at reporting the sex crimes – fearing they would not be believed – and how the detectives’ care and support gave them the strength to bring the vile child sex pervert to justice.

One victim personally thanked Detective Sergeant Zoe Nowell and Detective Constables Mike Chalmers, Darren Campbell, Louise Davies and Anna Stephens for their help, support and sensitivity in handling the case.

She said: “They have been on the end of the phone whenever I have needed them. For this I am grateful. They made me realise I wasn’t the only one.”
