THREE churches in the Parish of Withycombe Raleigh have raised 1,100 at their combined annual Christmas fete for local and international charities.
Brixington’s St John in The Wilderness Church, Withycombe’s St John the Evangelest Church and All Saints Church in Exeter Road annually host the event.
Scores of people perused around the stalls selling various items like books, toys, cakes, baked goods and soup with each of the churches responsible for different stalls.
Members of the drumming group Stomp from Withycombe Primary School provided the musical entertainment in the afternoon.
The fete is the only annual combined fundraiser between the three churches and now church members will hold a meeting to decide which charities should benefit.
