Families have turned out to make themselves a Christmas pudding and help raise money for Otterton Church.

The Christmas pudding event at the Peter Hall in Budleigh was being held for the first time.

The final fundraising total is still to be calculated, but the organisers were pleased with the turn-out, and the event is now expected to be held again next year.

Jan Keliher, who organised the event with Fran Mills, said: “We have had lots of positive feedback, and it was a great community endeavour.”

The event was in aid of the Otterton SPACE project, which is raising money for urgent repairs to the church roof, and its transformation into a community venue.
