Inspired by a poetry-based scrapbook, children from Otterton and East Budleigh have been exploring the world outside.

Green class from Drake’s Primary School and class three from Otterton have been going on weekly ‘welly’ walks in the area surrounding their schools.

The youngsters have been inspired by the book Where My Wellies Take Me by Clare and Michael Morpurgo.

After walking in their wellies, the pupils have been creating their own scrapbooks, based on their own treks, featuring poems, artwork and stories. The two classes recently met up near the River Otter to discuss and share the scrapbooks they have created.
