A child had to be taken to hospital by air ambulance after a collision with a car in Rolle Street on Wednesday, May 13.

Police were called at around 5pm to reports of a traffic incident between a pedestrian and a blue Audi.

An air ambulance took the child to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for injuries to her legs and hands.

The road was closed at the top of Rolle Street near the Powder Monkey pub and re-opened at around 6.40pm.
