A golf society, which started out among regulars at an Exmouth pub, is holding its annual charity golf day.
This is the fifth year the Park Hotel Golf Society has held the event, and it will take place at Lyme Regis Golf Club tomorrow, between 9am and 7pm.
During its history the event has raised more than £11,000 for a range of charities, and this year’s event is in aid of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare.
A full field of 72 players has signed up to take part on the day, which is made up of three events – the Margaret Rose Memorial, the 4 Ball Cancer Research Trophy, and the Hospiscare Shield – and has been named ‘For Sue’ in memory of Sue Gardener.
Several local businesses have already signed up to sponsor all the holes, but if anyone would like to contribute a small gift or donation they can drop it in to Picture Windows in Exeter Road.
